Lehrmann needs his time over again

SYDNEY: Former Morrison Government ministerial adviser Bruce Lehrmann (above) has been spotted visiting used car yards along Parramatta Road in a desperate search of a DMC DeLorean fitted with a flux capacitor.

It’s understood he now desperately wants to travel back in time to the day before his lawyers convinced him to sue various television networks and journalists for defamation over the alleged rape of Brittany Higgins in Parliament House back in March 2019.

CANBERRA: The Albanese Government is considering a very senior role in the diplomatic service for Robodebt Royal Commissioner Catherine Holmes after examining  the words she used to try to explain why the mainstream media largely ignored her RC.

A senior official at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade confessed to The Bug this morning Ms Homes (pictured below) would need very little training to be a top-flight, first-grade, diplomat on the world stage.

His assessment followed Ms Holmes statement on the last day of the Robodebt RC’s public sittings when she said: “The interest …of the traditional media … in these hearings has, with some honourable exceptions, been patchy. There may be sound commercial reasons for that; the subject matter does not concern the demographic which they cater to or the issues are too many and the evidence too complex for their form of coverage”.

The DFAT official said: ” Isn’t that form of words just beautiful? Ms Holmes has a natural gift and would be a welcome addition to the diplomatic service.

“Anyone else might have been tempted to bluntly explain that the RC was largely ignored by the great bulk of the right-wing media because the deadly and illegal Robodebt scheme was not implemented by a Labor government, meaning that MSM had fuck-all interest in possibly the greatest example ever of malfeasance by a federal government and a sickingly down-trodden, compliant, brown-nosing and largely incompetent public service in our nation’s history!”
