Papers praised over quality, targeted, journalism!

A mightily relieved Simon Benson has praised Sydney’s mainstream print media for stepping up its effort to have the decent, God-fearing Dominic Perrottet returned as Premier at the looming state election just two weeks from today.

Benson is The Australian newspaper columnist recently appointed chair of a steering committee created by all the MSM outlets operating in NSW to coordinate their efforts to ensure the return of the LNP.

Benson (pictured below recently addressing a meeting of top MSM editors and producers) was the unanimous choice for the position following the recent news detailing his heavy involvement as one of the nation’s most senior, highly respected and independently minded journalists in ensuring the illegal RoboDebt non-debt recovery scheme killed as many innocent Australians as possible.

Mr Benson this morning singled out News Corp Australia masthead The Daily Telegraph and Nine Entertainment Co. masthead The Sydney Morning Herald for particular praise (see at top).

“Several days ago, I might have mentioned my concern that opinion polls and online bookies’ odds were not reflecting the absolute need for the people of NSW to keep their premier state out of the hands of soy-latte sipping, inner city, socialist woke warriors beholden to the whims of their Chinese masters and that I called on all campaign partners to lift their efforts to even higher levels of quality, professional, balanced journalism to ensure Dominic Perrottet’s LNP government was re-elected to a well-deserved fourth term,” Benson said.

“And those two mastheads have done exactly that.”

Benson said he hoped the recent The Daily Telegraph splash belittling Opposition Leader Chris Minns was a clear sign of even better things to come from that paper.

“I’m told that story was based on a poll of 30 people and I say well-done to the Tele’s senior editorial staff for finding those people! It’s vital NSW voters realise just how unknown and shady Minns is.”

Today’s excellent spread in the SMH – the front of the News Review section and a two-and-a-half-page spread inside with numerous photos of Premier Perrottet were also “fine examples of modern, professional, balanced journalism practised at the highest level”, Benson said.

“Naturally enough, I’m sure that the SMH News Review section will soon give Mr Minns equal treatment and I’m reliably informed Nine Entertainment Co. head Peter Costello is absolutely determined to make sure that appears in the paper’s Saturday edition on April 1.”
