Punter interest in the 25 March NSW state election has flatlined, an exclusive Bug survey has found.
Odds on the election outcome on the three online gambling forums being monitored by The Bug have not changed in almost a week. Last Wednesday Sportsbet had Labor at $1.18 to the LNP’s $4.75. Ladbrokes were offering $1.18 and $4 while TAB had the juiciest odds for those supporters of Premier Dominic Perrottet’s government: the LNP were at $5.50 to Labor’s unattractive $1.13.
This morning, all three have the same odds (below).

The Bug does not claim to know much about how odds are determined for such betting topics but we asked an expert whether he agreed that those odds would surely have changed if bets had been placed this past week.
Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology Mathematics Department professor Al Gorithm told us: “You guys are spot on … for a change.
“It beggars belief that no-one in the past week has been attracted to TAB’s $5.50 for an LNP win.
“That’s amazing odds in a two-horse race and you’d think that anyone who believes that only the LNP can provide good, strong, stable economic management for NSW moving forward would readily part with some of their hard-earned on the belief that the voters of NSW will eventually wake up to themselves and return the LNP for a fourth term!”
Professor Gorithm agreed with our observation that if punters couldn’t give a flying fuck about the outcome of the 25 March poll, why should NSW voters?
