Santos sends best wishes

WASHINGTON DC: Controversial US Congressman, George Santos, is among numerous prominent Americans to congratulate ex-astronaut Buzz Aldrin on his fourth marriage at age 93.

Mr Aldrin used social media overnight to announce news of his weekend wedding in Los Angeles to Dr Anca Faur, 63, who is a project manager with a science and chemical company.

Mr Santos, elected to the US House of Representatives after taking a formerly Democrat seat in New York for the Republican Party at November’s mid-term elections also used social media to send his best wishes and a personal photo (main picture) to the couple.

“Best wishes Buzz,” Mr Santos said. “It just seems like yesterday we were walking on the moon together. If only Neil and Mike were here too.”

LONDON: Buckingham Palace has released details of events marking the coronation of King Charles III in May with a royal official advising that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would not be attending.

“His Majesty has made it clear that he wants to slimmed-down coronation and only a handful of major events which means the number of invited official guests will need to be relatively small,” the official said.

When asked if that meant Prince Harry and his wife would not attend the official confirmed their absence from the guest list.

“To be blunt, there will be no Spare seats,” said the official who then hung up only to ring back a few moments later to say he should have said: “There will be no spare seats.”
