Hanson heads to World Economic Forum

One Nation leader Pauline Hanson is winging her way to Switzerland after being personally invited to address the 2023 World Economic Forum being held this week in Davos.

Before boarding her flight at Brisbane International Airport the Queensland Senator said she was delighted to be offered the opportunity to speak directly to global political and business leaders at the influential meeting.

“I am looking forward telling those overwhelmingly left-wing, woke, bleeding heart, transgender, apparently-only-black-lives-matter, climate alarmists to wake up to themselves,” Senator Hanson said.

“The world is sick of them, yet they just don’t seem to be getting the very simple message.

“You really have to be a complete idiot to misconstrue such a clear and simple message, that’s all I can say,” Senator Hanson said.

Jetstar has challenged the findings of a report by a firm specialising in analysing airline and airport performance.

Global aviation data firm Cirium recently released its annual assessment of on-time performance, ranking airlines in key regions according to the number of flights they operated that were within 15 minutes of their scheduled take-off and landing times. (below)

In the Asia Pacific region no Australian airlines made Cirium’s top 10 listing, although Air New Zealand was placed 7th with an on-time performance of 81.29% based on 156,591 flights in 2022.

A Jetstar spokesperson said the airline had written to Cirium disputing the analysis.

“We had an aircraft take off on time and land on time last year,” the spokesperson said.

“Admittedly it was just the one, but given that all our other scheduled services were cancelled we reckon that’s a success rate of 100% and the Cirium results should be adjusted accordingly.”

NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet has apologised for remarks he made at a news conference in Sydney yesterday about the forthcoming state election campaign.

“I am sorry if my remarks yesterday about me blitzing the state in the campaign caused any offence,” Mr Perrottet said.

“I also apologise for saying that I would be out and about during the campaign and will not be sitting in a bunker in Sydney.

“Finally, while I personally do not think my comment about a uniform swing should cause offence, I’ll still apologise for that one too,” he said.

BREAKING NEWS:

The office of Senator Pauline Hanson has corrected earlier advice referencing an invitation for the One Nation leader to address the 2023 World Economic Forum (WEF) being held this week in Davos.

“It turns out that the invitation Pauline personally received was to attend a party at Davo’s place here in Ipswich on Saturday,” a One Nation spokesperson said.

“He’s president of the local One Nation branch and the shindig is a fundraiser where he wants Pauline to say a few words.

“Davo’s parties are legendary and this one will have a Black and White Minstrels theme, so it should be a real hoot.”
