RIP: Smirko and his Liberals

Would you Buggers out there mind terribly if we devoted our last Tweets of the Week column for 2022 to the demise of the loathsome, lying, lardarse Scott Morrison and the modern Liberal Party as we knew it, the one Smirko/Smoko well and truly fucked yet somehow remains too dumb to know he did that?

Didn’t think so. Our judges took their time over some rumbos and cokes to shift through a mountain of entries over the past week and settled on John and Dr Sheep Person Podge (above and below) as our joint winners.

Wonderful tie in to the LNP’s uncatchy, vote-losing advertising slogan, John, and, yes, Dr Sheep Person Podge, the Liberal sad sacks who conducted the party’s post mortem examination certainly had their hands on it and made a fine mess everywhere in their attempts to sheet home blame to anyone but themselves.

Let’s therefore run with a few lovely memes on those central themes. Thanks to Kerrie Oldfield and Just Your Average Punter for these two beauties.

Bugger it, let’s have one more from Kerrie…

Great to see the Liar from the Shire, the Crook from Cook, in his Engadine-friendly Kimbies.

Ed Hunter #AlboPM #IStandWithUkraine looked to the Dirty Digger to explain the Liberals’ loss and Australia’s gain back in May.

While we’re on the subject of mainstream mediocre right-wing nutjobs who failed miserably at their alloted tasks, JayJay has this to spray about 3AW’s Neil Mitchell.

The media watchdog’s criticism of the ABC for using the word “mob” to describe the mob that stormed the Capitol building in January last year got this response from Captain Memo’s Left Sock. Vote ‘Yes’.

Our judges also liked Amante2 and Baron Gotcha for their digs at two of the Liberal fossils who continue to ensure that the Liberals remain dead, buried and cremated.

May the Mad Monk and dear, dear Prue never, ever, cotton on to the fact that being called woke is not an insult.

There was a lot of Twitter noise this past week on talk that Bruce Lehrmann might get paid a cool quarter-million for, most likely, not spilling his guts on what might also have been spilt in Parliament House that night back in 2019. Our judges chose Peter Murphy to represent the general view on that.

And finally, let’s enjoy a double dip from amante2 and spend just a little time as 2022 nears its end to remember with great sadness that the vast majority of the mainstream media – yep, the ones who think citizen journalists on Twitter are so, so awful – wanted Morrison returned as PM in May.

We share amante2’s view and say good riddance to the inhuman, black-hearted, outdated, no-longer-wanted chunk of fossiled uselessness pictured below with Scott Morrison.
