Trump ready to announce

As former President Donald Trump prepares to make the “big announcement” he promised last week during America’s mid-term elections, political observers say a number of incidents in and around his Mar-a-Lago resort in Miami, Florida give a hint about its content.

Observers say a significant indicator that Mr Trump is likely to announce another bid for the White House has been the installation over the past few days of an escalator in the main ballroom at Mar-a-Lago. (below)

In another incident pointing to an announcement of a Trump 2024 presidential campaign, former First Lady, Melania Trump, and teenage son Barron were caught emerging from a tunnel just beyond the Mar-a-Lago boundary fence. (main picture)

It is understood the pair had been personally digging the tunnel over the past two years.

A motion-sensor alarm is understood to have alerted private security guards at the resort as the pair emerged from their tunnel estimated to stretch almost 200m from their private quarters to a public footpath near Mar-a-Lago’s main gates.

The security guards rushed to the scene where they were seen struggling to detain Mrs Trump and her son who were eventually subdued and escorted back to their quarters.

An eyewitness said Mrs Trump and Barron appeared to be “highly distressed” as they were being driven back inside Mar-a-Lago in an electric golf cart.
