Whether by accident or design, and seeing the Victorian state election will soon be in full swing if not already, The Bug‘s tweet-of-the-week barrel was chockablock full of Victorian issues.
Entries were of the usual high standard but our judges finally went for a wonderful contribution by JayJay @JayJay91341991 (above and below) who presented us with the tantalising prospect that regardless of anything else Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews might do, the vicious bastard likes nothing better than to play mind games with 3AW rightwing nutjob Neil Mitchell.
“…trigger Neil Mitchell and live rent free in his head ….” Wonerful imagery, JayJay.
The cheque’s not in the mail.

Mitchell, of course, spews forth his anti-Dan, anti-Labor rhetoric on a Nine Entertainment Co. platform, one that is becoming increasingly indistinguishable from the Dirty Digger’s Newscorpse outlets. For across Melbourne city somewhere, the Herald Sun is virtually 3AW tag-team partner, taking turns and wrestling away to pin #dictatordan to the matt … Matt Guy, that is.
The propaganda shitsheet that the Herald Sun now is, and mindful that the state poll is nigh, is clearly anxious to do as much damage to the government as possible over the next six weeks, proudly revisited the “77 things we hated about the Covid response” (below).
The former newspaper and now LNP shill also declared that it wanted the good citizens of Victoria to guide it on what issues should be blowtorched up to election day on 26 November.

This backfired spectacularly, if Ewart, Dave @davidbewart and PRGuy @PRGuy17 are any guide…

normboy562 @normboy562 also roped in the ABC for criticism over media coverage of Victorian politics, suggesting that it’s not just the Herald Sun and 3AW at fault.

And BoomerangChris @Boomerang…. folded a sheet of the Herald Sun and wiped his arse with it, so to speak, although not literally so…..

And seeing it also comes out of Melbourne, let’s turn our attention to the ABC Insiders program, and what Bee @BellindaJones68 thought of Sunday’s program…..

Sticking with the ABC and its sometimes-maligned political reporters, Jaqueline Outram @JaquelineOutram had this to say about Andrew Probyn’s very questionable question to Mark Dreyfus at the National Press Club last week. She was not alone.

The Bug‘s tweets of the week hate for seven days to go by without some reference to two of the finest leaders this country was lucky enough to get rid of. Take it away Michael J Wylie @michaelJwyllie and Mark Langham @MarkLangham2…

Let’s finish off now with affairs of the heart. Our judges were touched by this contribution from PrincessPooket @JBPooket after a certain well-known and popular ABC sports presenter appeared on some show where he talked about his five favourite songs.
