With such scatological flair and a dig at our favourite pollie villain, Bee @BelindaJones68 was always a very good chance of saluting our tweet-of-the-week judges – and she has!
Our judging panel of three retired media hacks and two bottles of Bundy loved closing their eyes after reading Bee’s contribution (at top and below) and imagining various former ministers over on the Opposition benches thinking “Icaced my pants just now!” and right up the back Scott Morrison turning to some other feather duster and offering this apology: “I might have just engadined myself”.
Glen 20 to the green chamber stat …indeed! Well stung. Bee!

The looming National Anti-Corruption Commission also sparked these responses from Jenny Little @litjenny and JRB @JohnBelchamber….

Speaking of The Spud with Dead Eyes, while we don’t particularly like kicking a man when he’s down and heading out, our judges also pinned a highly recommended certificate on this fine contribution from Geoff Nicholson @GeoffNicholso16….

And Geoff made that observation before Sunday night’s Newspoll results showed that recent cross-media attempts to paint Dutton as a nice bloke with loads of potential and friends had failed miserably. A point made perfectly by Revardin @revardin who, to be fair, must be wondering why he, she or it didn’t at least share the blue winner’s sash with Bee.

Also taking a dig at Four Corners and the ABC generally was Eddy Jokovich @EddyJokovich …

A couple of tweets centred on the notion that the LNP are achieving even less in Opposition – being even less effectual, hard as that might be to comprehend – than they did in three terms in government were those from Craig Hill @CraigHill01 and Robert @VanishedOOOne…

Our tweet judges, The Bug staff generally and we guess a large majority of Australians are simply gobsmacked that the Opposition seems obsessed since Question Time began in the new parliamentary term in trying to score points off Labor for breaking a promise to reduce electricity bills by 2025. What did Forrest say: Stoopid is as stoopid does!
Talk about a cupboard bare of policy ideas (Jane Hume was right!) or logical attack points. Still, there are some in the mainstream media who think the LNP is on a winner with this one and that in itself is sad enough.
We’re also giving a mention to regular contributors to this column, MFW @MFWitches for reminding us all that the sooner Albanese and Chalmers wake up to themselves and axe the third-stage tax cuts, the better.
