Those of you out there in Bugland who dream of one day winning our tweet of the week gong should look no further than this week’s winner to see the near-perfect template for achieving such glory and the cashless award that goes with it.
Let’s dissect why our judges simply couldn’t go past The Hon. Hammyhamster #VoteY… @Hammyhamster (above and below)

Firstly, it’s truly weird and wacky and wonderfully creative.
Secondly, it’s short and sharp.
Turdly …. sorry Thirdly, it’s got scatological leanings, and here’s the most important one…
Fourthly, it has a dig at that dreadful shitpaper The Courier-Mail and entrants in this competition should never forget that one of The Bug‘s tweet-of-the-week judges has an almost pathological hatred of that paper for how the cunts in charge treated him while he worked there.

So, there you have the near-perfect template!
A very likely winner this week if The Hon. Hammyhamster #VoteY hadn’t ticked all the boxes was this wonderful contribution from Steve Harrison @StormingTime. And, boy, as it turned out Steve was spot on with Jane Hume giving a trainwreck of an interview on Insiders yesterday.

Doubt it was a trainwreck?
It might be hard to believe but the words used in Peter Murphy @PeterWMurphy1’s tweet were the exact words Senator Hume uttered, just to prove the Liberals are a spent force in Australian politics. If Hume is one of the best the LNP opposition can come up with, they’re truly up shit creek in a barbed-wire canoe without a paddle.

JayJay @JayJay91341991 clearly saw the interview for for what it was…

We’re going to assume bradpsychology @bradpsychology gave Insiders a miss…

Emma @emma_jayne14 and Mark Dickenson: fools repeating failure…@bugwanno… didn’t miss Senator Hume either when she decided to move on from making an absolute fool of herself over policy matters and came up with some very dodgy reasons why a federal ICAC could be a bad thing.

Last week’s tweets had plenty to say on the ABC’s coverage of the royal death and funeral so why not keep the rage going? Kent Parkstreet, Laird of Doofus@kentparktweet and Not Aldous @not_aldous had this exchange..

And while we’re on things Aunty, Dead Parrot Society @MyFirstCousin gets a guernsey if for no other reason than releasing “Ita Buttkiss” into the social media airstream.

And no edition of our Tweets of the Week should go by with at least one slapdown for Scott Morrison – remember him? Yes, we all do, unfortunately.
So here’s to Paul Syvret @PSyvret who not only introduced us to the phrase “perfidious fuckbungle” but proved in the process that the rhetorical question is far from dead as a literary device.
