Because The Bug‘s tweets-of-the-week barrel is not cleaned out until midnight on Sundays, our judges had the opportunity to consider this week’s entries on the strength of the latest Newspoll results.

We were also interested to see if the old-fashioned union bashing of late by the likes of Peter Dutton and Sussssssan “This goes with that goes with this goes with that….” Ley had improved the Liberals’ lot. Made an impression, like, in those outer metropolitan seats they hope to win or retain now that they’ve given up on all those traditional city seats of theirs that they lost so comprehensively to Labor, the Teals, other Indies and the Greens back in May.

For all those reasons, our judges particularly liked the entry (at top and below) from Rupert’s Conscience @RupertsConscie1 … Hint: any tweet that has a dig at Peter Costello always has a chance with our judges!

While we’re focused on media outlets apparently intent on putting themselves out of business by giving space to the likes of George Brandis, LPO Zero @LpoZero and Jenny Frecklington-Jones etc etc @JonesHowdare … exchanged their thoughts on yet another appearance on ABC News Breakfast by you know has-been who.

Probably one of the unintentionally funny media bits this past week was Sun-Herald right-wing nut job Steve Price, who cookered up a piece lamenting how as an old white male he’s been silenced by 21stCentury wokedness. His turgid tripe is exactly what the Herald Sun‘s readers are dying of old age to agree with.

Dan Fan Girl Go Dan! @ChristyDanFan cried herself a river over his pathetic piece, while paying homage to a nice little meme that we’ll assume was the work of toiletpaperaustralia. Yes, poor Steve, swamped by the cruel #metoo, politically correct 21stCentury with no outlet for his views other than SkyNews, The Herald Sun, The Project and some radio outlets.

So, let’s return to how that 50’s style union bashing is faring by what’s left of the smelly, suppurating carcass that is the Liberal Party after Scott Morrison was through with it. Oh, by the way, let’s show this first! We’re not sure we used it earlier?
