Until Fran Bailey burst onto the media scene late in the week with the news that Scott Morrison has always been a dreadful, low-life, secretive, incompetent, cunt – better late than never, Fran! – The Bug‘s tweet of the week judges had been largely focused on a new song from the mainstream mediocre political choir songsheet – Labor must look ahead and govern and never, ever, look back!
It was rather relentless all week, and not just from the far-right Newscorpse media. The almost-as-right media (Nine Entertainment Co mastheads) and the-fast-catching-up-to-you-guys-over-there-on-the-right media (ABC et al) were all busy forgetting the fact that for nine long years, three LNP governments, bereft of any real policies or commendable vision, did fuck all but look back at Labor’s previous six years in power and put the boot in at every possible opportunity, much to the amusement and rabid support of the MSM.
And as a result of that, the song being belted out relentless was that trifling matters such as Morrison over time trying to become his entire ministry and silly “it’s in the past so let’s all move on” topics like Robodebt were stale matters Labor would be exceptionally naughty to even think about let alone waste time and taxpayers’ money on raking stale ground over.
So, the judges couldn’t go past the contribution below) from David Griffiths @DavidGr07837209. It’s all rather sad that Waleed’s enormous, ongoing, belief in his own genius is blocking any possibility of him ever realising he’s starting to sound like an LNP apologist.

Snapping at his heels for the week’s top gong was Glenn Gibson @sszinglehead with this hit at Greg Jennett. We can only assume Glenn didn’t hear Fauziah Ibrahim and David Speers on ABC Weekend News Breakfast trying to use “witch-hunt” to out-sing each other!

Before we run more pithy comments on this new song from the choir, Daniel Best – Author @20thCenturyDan set the scene for all this with a little history lesson…

ShiannonCorcoran @ShiannonC took a knife to the risible notion of “get square” while we suspect Victoria @VictoriaFreshy had that new tune from the MSM songsheet in mind with her assessment of the ABC’s coverage of politics since May.

We might leave the varied reactions to Fran Bailey’s all-far-too-late accusations against Morrison until tomorrow, so let’s finish with a few memes that tickled our fancy over the past week.
We lauded the work of arthur norman @skulled1 a few weeks back and he’s still pumping out his wonderful sleeping pissed pollie efforts. Enjoy these two!

TOMORROW: How the twitterverse reacted to the Fran Bailey’s long-overdue public assessment of the Liar from the Shire aka The Crook from Cook, and some other stuff as well.
