The Bug continues to uncover rising new stand-up comics who one day will challenge Australia’s current crop of stars.

Today, we introduce country lad Michael McCormack. We took in Michael employing all his own material as he wowed a small audience in Canberra yesterday. Who doesn’t love a comic willing to play the dumb country yokel to get a laugh or two?

We hastily booked an intimate venue by Lake Burley Griffin and the way Michael had them eating out of his hand last night should have some of this nation’s established standups watching their backs!
