Chad sinks his teeth into Eurovision

EUROVISION SONG CONTEST:

One of Australia’s true music legends has slammed SBS Television for its “bungling incompetence” in choosing performers to represent our nation in the annual Eurovision song contest.

The stinging criticism by country and western star Chad Morgan was accompanied by his challenge to SBS, as the official Eurovision broadcaster in Australia, to pick him as its 2025 entry.

“The news that this year’s entry, Electric Fields, (below) was eliminated in the first semi-final round shows how badly SBS is handling the whole Eurovision process here in Australia,” the 91-year-old Mr Morgan said.

“I’m sick and tired of watching every year as SBS picks with much fanfare some very young, woke, techno hipsters who then go on to piss our Eurovision chances up against the wall.

“I may not have many years left on this earth, but before I go I’d love to bring home the Eurovision trophy.”

Mr Morgan said in preparation he had recently had his trademark teeth straightened and had undergone a minor restyling to appeal to a broader international audience – and Eurovision judges. (main picture)

“I can offer a good, solid, wholesome mainstream song of my own composition sung in, dare I say, my own inimitable style that will more than stand out from all the others on the Eurovision stage,” he said.

Mr Morgan said he was currently putting the finishing touches to his proposed Eurovision entry song, The Dingo Brought My Baby Back.

“It’s a song that has it all – love, loss, grief, redemption – with a true blue Aussie flavour.,” he said.

“I can guarantee it’ll knock the socks off Eurovision judges and will see us take out the contest next year as long as SBS has the guts to give me the nod.”
